Organisation

Would you like to play laser tag and are you wondering how best to organize the event? This article should help you answer some of your questions.

Preparations for the Game

The first step is the booking. Simply fill out the booking form and we will contact you as soon as possible. The usual times our game leaders are available are Monday to Friday from 6:00 p.m. and all day on weekends. Other times are also possible after consultation.

Currently, 10 devices can be booked, meaning a maximum of 10 participants can play at the same time. Of course you can also take turns. The prices apply per device and theoretically any number of players can switch between them.

There are no restrictions regarding the age of the players. When developing the system, special focus was placed on ensuring that the devices can be used across generations. The game is simple enough to be used by children and sophisticated enough so that adults don’t get bored even after playing a lot of games. A minimum range of 130 meters allows for sufficient potential to learn and improve ones aim and gaming skills.

Speaking of range, the playing field should be a somewhat remote and sufficiently large area with sufficient obstacles/cover. The place should be remote because the players will probably run around a lot and may be a little louder from time to time, so we try not to disturb people outside the game.

The devices are very precise and it is usually possible to hit and deactivate other players within a few seconds – if you can see them. Therefore, obstacles such as trees, rocks or bushes are needed on the field that interrupt the direct line of sight and thus make the game more interesting.

Every player absolutely needs the Lichthatz Play app, which is available in the PlayStore and the AppStore. The players can use it to connect to the laser tag devices. This makes GPS-based game elements possible. You can find an example of these elements in the trailer.

During the Game

The detailed gameplay is already described in this article. How long a round lasts depends on how large the playing field is, how fast the players move and how the requirements are set in the app. Typically it takes 15 to 30 minutes per round. Of course, you can take a break at any time during the game and eat and drink something.

Spectators are welcome to be there and also move around on the field. The devices use harmless infrared light, which has a lower intensity than a flashlight and is also invisible.

A game leader is included in the price and will introduce and explain the equipment, which usually takes around 15 minutes. She/he also organizes every round, ensures that the game runs smoothly and is available at any time if you have any questions.

You’ll probably be running a lot, most likely over rough terrain, so adjust your clothing and footwear accordingly.

After the Game

As soon as the game leader has collected the equipment, what happens next depends entirely on you. What’s the best thing to do after playing laser tag? You’re probably thinking about how nice the game was and are already planning the next laser tag event ?
